Ten Ways To Help your Child Tackle Homework

. Your child will keep a planner with daily assignments. Sign the planner .
. Introduce a planning calendar to help with long-term projects, so work isn't done at the last minute.

. Preview the assignments that need to be done and tackle the most difficult tasks first. He should write down the order he will do assignments.

. Teach her to review her work frequently. Studying math facts, spelling words and for other tests are examples.

. Get an organizer and help show how to use it to organize school workdue and assignments returned.

. Have your child bring a book bag for transporting books and assignments.
It's needed even on last day of school to safely carry the report card.

. Encourage her to have a regular time to do homework.

. She should keep old papers and tests in an organizer to prepare for future tests.

. Eliminate distractions like phone calls, television and younger brothers or sisters  during homework.

. Establish a regular place for homework.

Teacher's Prayer
~James Metcalf ~

I wanted to teach my students how to
 live this life on earth.

To face its struggles and its strife
and to improve their worth.

Not just the lesson in a book or
how the rivers flow,

But how to choose the proper path
wherever they may go.

To understand eternal truth
and know the right from wrong

And gather all the beauty of a
flower and a song.

For if I helped the world to grow
in wisdom and ingrace

Then I feel that I have won and
I have filled myplace.

And so I asked your guidance,
God that I have done my part

For character and confid
ence
and happiness of heart.
