Flying Wright

We read the story, Wilbur and Orville and the Flying Machine, by Max Marquardt.  It was interesting to find out that Wilbur and Orville became interested in flying because of a toy their father gave them.  So we read more about Wilbur and Orville in excerpts from the following sources:

Each year we have a Day of Flight the last day of March. Students bring kites and or make paper planes.
A cooperative groupof six makes a predition of th eforecast of  our day o f flight.  In case of  inclement weather,  we'll keep the kites around until the perfect warm breezy day! The students will make paper planes, too.  We'll have a flying contest. It's a great time for all!
