RELIGION
We plan a
test over the chapter about women of the Bible on Thurday. Your child
needs to
know The Act of
Contrition by Monday. Look under the month of
August for a version. If your child knows another version an oral
exam will be arranged for
him or her.
READING
The
children are hearing Roald
Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.
This week..The
class is
reading "Champions of the World" about a Little League team that won
their World Series.
MATH
We are rounding
four digit numbers and reading bar graphs. Homework to practice
rounding will be sent home. We will have a test over Chapter 2 this
Tuesday
SOCIAL STUDIES This
week the students are studying about the geography of the
United States. On Thurday
a study guide, notes and our
text will be going home in preparation of a test on October 5.
SCIENCE We are
beginning a chapter on volcanoe sand earthquakes. I will send
home a baggy for your child to bring a sample of soil.
