February


Today is...




The children are reading about the miracles of Jesus. We will discuss His death and resurrection,  and the Holy Spirit are all the topics we will cover this month.


We will be taking the ITBS testing in February. Please provide a large a large healthy snack for your child during the testing and two #2 pencils. We plan to begin testing each day at 8:15. Please be sure your child is well- rested and on time.  I anticipate them doing very well.    
   
   
The class is reading four different books for book club.  Questions much like those in Jr. Great Books will be provided for each novel. We will read several stories about whales and are writing original stories in class.The class is reading We will read several stories about whales and are writing originals ones.
Our class is studying the human body, a little about different systems and constructing a body with different organs. It is one of my favorite projects we do in science.
The third grade classes will celebrate Presidents' Day with a show for you.  It will probably be in the small cafeteria. Invitations will be sent out regarding the time of the show.











Helpful Hints for the I.T.B.S. Week

    Be sure your child is on time and present in school.
     Be sure your child has had plenty of sleep.      
    Send your child with two sharpened #2 pencils.
     Your child will need a book or two to read.
   Send a large nutritious snack with your child each day.
  Let your child arrive at school in a relaxed frame of mind.
  Tell your child to do his/ her best.
  Don’t schedule appointments or vacations this week.
   There will be no homework.
   Celebrate the conclusion of the test!
