Gone Fishing!
for
Fun Summer Activities

 1. Make a list of the 50 states to keep in the car to check off
when you see a license plate from each state.

 2. Make a village out of clay or paper. Make a lot of people to live there.

  3. Go outside and close your eyes, listen to the sounds in the morning  and the evening.
Are the sounds the same?
4. Keep a journal of the great things you’re doing this summer.

5. Visit your local library to check out books, tapes or videos. 
 6. Get a book of poetry and memorize a favorite.

7. Add  the digits in your phone number, license plates, and  address. 
8.Play with a calculator.

9. Follow written directions to build a model, a kite, or to bake a cake, brownies or pudding.

10. Learn a new craft.

111. Read road signs, cereal boxes, junk mail, menus, comics  or yellow pages.
12. Cut pictures from magazines or newspapers.  Write words to go with them.
13. Learn something new on the internet.

14. Visit a museum, art  exhibit, the Mint or zoo.

15.Enjoy your family! 
16.Play favorite games with them like Scrabble, Pictionary,  or “Bum, Bum, Bum”.
7.Sing songs or tell stories. Teach a younger child  about letters and numbers. 

18. Give someone a back rub.
19. Volunteer for two new jobs.
20.Take a few sack or sock puppets and put on a show!

21. Have a lemonade stand.  Make change, too.

22.Read Bible stories.  Then make pictures of them.

23.Go on a nature hike.  Write or tell about it.

24. Write a letter to a grandparent or cousin.
25.Go to a play or concert or have one with friend! 

26.Have a book club at dinner once a week.

37.Talk about the actions and feelings of a TV character.

Dance around and play.
Party the summer away.
