WEEKLY EDITION

Reading/LA
We begin learning about the sacraments. One chapter covers the sacraments of initation, the next on the sacraments of healing and the last is the sacraments of service or vocation.
We are working on the "Act of Love" .for our  test next Thursday. Your child needs to  prepare for a test over Chapter 12 . It was in your child's blue folder on Friday. Remember there is a link under "Homework Helps" to Faith First, which includes quizzes.

We continue reading about Mr. Popper and the penguins  this week.  On Monday, the students will will make a cute penguin for fun and classroom decoratio!.
We will answer questions  and take a test about the story lupon completion. We will read . There are some links at the bottom of this page about it. Instead of  going through the
long process of writing the snowman story mentioned under "January",  I decided to  have the children  complete  a story  using  "traveling stories". Six contributors, including your child  helped complete the story.  Most stories were   edited  by a student and an  adult.  Please come to our hallway to enjoy the fun stories!  I  want to make them part of the Permanent Writing  Portfolios. One writing project is included each semester. The students have completed their cursive handwriting books and may use erasable pens for all subjects except math. The students love "Flashlight Friday"!  We will continue it all month.

Math Science

This week we will study more abot multiplication and division and their relationship. There is practice in these topics under

We will study more about graphs.  Each child will take a survey and make a graph.

There are some good sites under"Homework  Helps" or under "Science" under "Our Curriculum". if your child wants to learn more.
Listening to weather forecasts to determine their accuracy is another activity a student can do.  This week your child needs to study the chapter on weatherA study guide and  the essay quetions will be sent home on Monday.
