The News from Mrs. Hughes
Happy Mother's Day! 
Moms please visit the month of May where there is a tribute to you!


Religion  We completed chapter 18, The Great Commandment. We won't have a test on it. The children are learning the Hail, Holy Queen prayer for a quiz on Tuesday.
Language Arts We are reading books by E. B. White.Most of the kids are reading  Charlotte's Web. Two are reading Trumpet of the Swans.
Math We will finish frrtactions and begin decimals this week. This website

Science This week we hold our Invention Convention We will begin studying about plants. We planted a few lima beans to in plastic bags to watch tthe seeds. 
Next Thursday is Science Bamboozleers' Day.  Your child  should bring an experiment to demonstrate for the class. There are some links under "Homework Helps" or your child can pick any experiment in our textbook.
Social Studies  We have finished our social studies book.
