Religion This week
we will study the "Apostles' Creed. We will do some activities in
class. You may look under the month of August to find it. We wil
have test next Monday. Next, we
will study about Pentecost.

Arts We have just read
"Pure Power" which is all about alternative forms of power. Pronouns is
the topic in grammar. Our next story is "Kuala Cathchers".

Math We continue
working on adding fractions.
Thanks for
helping
us celebrate our having learned basic
multiplication facts with a party last week. Congratulation on the
accomplishment!

Science
Your child has started
learning about simple machines. April 22 is Earth Day. A
Whatchamacallit
Workshop is planned for that day. Please help your child collect
recyclables and bring duct tape. Your child may get together with
friends to construct an interesting item.
Our
Invention
Convention is planned for May 1. You
are invited to
the small cafeteria between 1:00 and 2:30 to observe all the inventions
from the entire third grade. Come see all the
creativity! The children will have presented their projects in
class earlier
in the day.
Science
Bamboozlers
is coming up in the middle of May. Your child
will bring an experiment to share with the class. More details
will follow.

Social Studies
We are
finishing a chapter on rights and responsibilities of citiens.
There won't be an exam on it.

Reminders
You may have noticed the field trips have been changed. May 6 we will
see Slim Goodbody and go to the Littleton History Museum. The
cost of that trip is $20.00. Our next trip is May 21 to the
Planetarium at the Denver Museum. We will eat lunch and then
visit the gems and Colorado history exhibits. The cost of this
trip is $24.00. Both of the trips will be bus trips. Volunteers are
needed to help on both of those days.
